The goal of the poster was to not only show Adam West throughout his life, but also to capture the aesthetic of the 1960s Batman series. This focus was to capture the attention of dedicated super hero fans that would be found at San Diego Comic Con.
To achieve this aesthetic, the images of the poster were broken up to reflect the look of a comic book, and the bright colors emulated the original TV show. The sound effect words such as "Bam!
and "Pow!" were added because they were a signature motif of the show.
