"Becoming You" is an interactive website that tells a short story of self acceptance. All illustration was made from scratch, and the website was built using HTML and Javascript.
The story of "Becoming You" changes depending on the user's answers to select questions when the site is opened. The narrative adapts using code in Javascript to edit parts of the story.
The illustrations I created for "Becoming You" focus on a small, featureless character. This was done to allow any user to connect with the main character emotionally as they go through an ominous, yet hopeful journey. The illustrations use a black and white color palette with a minimal background to convey a lost feeling as the main character struggles to find meaning in a world much larger than themself.
